Disadvantages of republic government

There are disadvantages with any system. A Republic takes a lot of work and interest from its citizens. It is not like a Monarchy where the average citizen has no real civic duty except to tell the Monarch how loved he is. In a Republic you have to inform yourself from good information sources. And bad information sources abound. So you have to chose carefully.
