What should you think if you met a woman in an internet chat room and she gave you her phone number and after the first phone call she practically asked you out and you have never seen each other?

If it was a woman asking this question I'd tell her to be careful, but since you're a guy, you knew when you went into a chatroom you would probably meet someone there. Although not the safest way to meet people, I have heard of couples getting together and having a fairly successful relationship. The problem is, you haven't seen this person and have no way of knowing if they have a quirky personality, or what they look like or if they are married or cheating. You are going to have to decide whether you want to risk it or not. Meet in a public place NOT AT YOUR HOME and YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE YOUR PHONE # OUT, email, ETC. until you know this person better. When you are talkingt to this girl don't "tell all" about yourself. Take it slow and easy and see how things go. Private information comes later in a relationship. I have to say that meeting the opposite sex can't beat the good old fashion way ... meeting at a party or public function or through friends. Good luck (be careful) Marcy
