Why is it important for christians to be part of a community?

There is a peculiar Word that is part of Christianity called fellowship. My experience is that this fellowship is an integral part of being a Christian. And we fellowship and commune with other Christians. As a group, Christians tend to be like minded people. Within the Christian community there is a diverse range of beliefs and ideas, however, we share a belief in God and Jesus Christ. This binds us. So, as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are family.
