Roman Catholic AnswerThe only thing that I can find in canon law regarding the witnesses is Canon 1108, section 1, which mentions that a valid marriage is contracted in the presence o fhte local ordinary or the pastor or a priest or deacon delegated by either of the, who assist, and in the presence of two witnesses. Nothing in Canon Law stipulates an age of the witnesses. An age may be set by a local Bishops' Conference or an individual diocese.
