How to remove factory stereo in a 2003 Subaru Forester X?

To remove the factory stereo in a 2003 Subaru Forester X, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to avoid any electrical issues. Use a flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool to carefully pry off the plastic trim panel surrounding the stereo.
