Why does God allow good people to be hurt?

Well let's think hypothetically. If you had a son, you would love him. Would you let him skateboard? Probably. You would tell him to be careful and to go have fun. So you'd give him some good advice and let him go off and make his own mistakes. So if he fell and hurt himself, what would you do? Stop him from ever Skateboarding again? No, because although you have the power interfere and prevent your child's pain, you choose to show you love him by letting him learn his own lessons. Pain is a part of growing up, it's how we learn.
