How far can you drive when oil light comes on Audi a6?

Pull Over safely and immediately shut off the engine. Check the dip stick for oil. If none appears, get oil in it till it appears in the safe zone. Drive it 20 feet, stop where it's safe and physically look under it for massive oil leaks. If none, check the dip stick again, if fine, drive it to a short distance and continue with the above checks.
