What is the plot in the jade peony story?

The significance of the title of the story is that the Jade Peony was given to the grandmother as a gift from a friend who passed away. The grandmother kept this jade peony in a red envelop in her pocket right up until she died. She values this gift that was given to her (this gem was on a wind chime), and this jade peony was sacred to the grandmother. The grandmother wanted to re-create the wind chime by collecting junk. In the story, Sek-Lung helps the grandmother with re-creating this wind-chime which is really precious to her.
