Crowning is the stage in childbirth when the baby's head begins to emerge from the birth canal, becoming visible at the vaginal opening. This occurs during the second stage of labor, signaling that the baby is close to being born. It is often accompanied by intense pressure and the urge to push. Once the head is fully out, the rest of the body usually follows shortly after.
