There is too much danger of the items getting snagged on the equipment and causing some rather major damage. Even a ring, smashing into the bar can flatten out and cut off circulation to a finger. And who wants to lose an event because their necklace smacked them in the eye? so pretty much

NO definitely not, you are not aloud to wear jewelry when doing gymnastics! that's all I can say!
