How many minimum pixels are necessary for any cam?

The amount of mega pixels varies on what you would like to do with your photos. Most people will printing 4x6's and 5x7's. Most 4-5 MP cameras can handle that. However if you shop around in todays market 10MP is the new standard. You can find great cameras in the $100-$150 range as well.
