If your nuva ring slips to the lower part of your vagina will that make it less effective?

According to the NuvaRing people, "The exact position of the ring in the vagina is not critical for its action. As long as it feels comfortable the ring is in the right position and will release the hormones necessary for contraception." It seems the ring itself is merely a delivery device for the hormones that prevent pregnancy. The ring, therefore, can be anywhere up your tail. Beyond the question, I gotta wonder why any lady would choose to keep a foreign object in her tail for three weeks at a time instead of just swallowing a tiny, daily pill to obtain the same hormones... Different strokes, I suppose... The above answer is correct. As for using the Nuvaring rather than the pill, you don't have to remember the ring, perhaps she has a very bad memory.
