How can you protect your family from oral herpes?

Don't kiss people on or around the mouth while they have any signs of a cold sore. Also don't share things like utensils or cups with some one that has a visible cold sore.

It's safer to do those things when there isn't any sing of a cold sore. Oral herpes isn't likely to be passed in between break outs.
