To replace a headlight on a 2009 Mazda 6, first, turn off the vehicle and open the hood. Locate the headlight assembly and disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it off. Remove the rubber cover, then twist and remove the old bulb from the socket. Insert the new bulb without touching the glass, reattach the rubber cover, reconnect the electrical connector, and test the headlight before closing the hood.
