How do you fill the ponds in Prince of Persia game?

After you clear all of the debris, under where the salt water used to flow you will see a stone (key stone). Place a master scientist or mast builder on the stone and they will do the rest. If they do not do it on the first time put the same person on the stone and keep attempting.
