Is a integer a rational number?

An integer is any number which can be either positive and negative but not a fractional number. It is also a whole number. Examples are -1,256, -589, -1, 0, 1, 569, 5,236. It is always a rational number.

By definition, a rational number is the division of two integers, where the divisor is not zero. Since the divisor is 1 when the number is an integer, then all integers are rational.
