How many planes were used in the attack of 9 11?

Four planes- two were crashed into each of the twin towers, another was crashed into the Pentagon, and another which was believed to be headed towards the White House or the Capitol ended up crashing in a field in Pennsylvania after the passengers fought the hijackers and attempted to take back control of the plane.
