Revenue (sometimes called sales) refers to all the money a company makes while doing its business be it producing goods or delivering services. Some other sources of funds including investment gains are also referred to as revenuewhich is reflected as part of its "gross income." Profit is the amount of money that the company has left over, if any, after it' pays off all costs of doing business which includes raw materials, taxes, interest on loans, other routine expenses, remuneration to its staff, etc.. Profit is also referred to as "Net income"
