What is fendal system?

The feudal system was a social and economic structure that dominated medieval Europe, characterized by a hierarchy of lords, vassals, and serfs. In this system, land was exchanged for military service and protection; lords granted land (fiefs) to vassals in return for loyalty and service. Serfs, who worked the land, were bound to it and provided agricultural labor, while also receiving protection from their lords.
