2008 Sienna Oil Drain PlugLook near the passenger side at the back of the lowest part of the engine... The oil plug is on the passenger side of the vehicle and uses a 14mm bolt. The filter for the car can be accessed either below the car or above. This, however, can be awkward to turn by hand - having a strap wrench makes getting to the filter a cinch. The torque for the plug is 28ft lbs. If you are looking at a plug with a hex or Allen type fitting, leave it alone as it is the transmission drain and many people have mistaken it for the engine oil drain. What To Do/How-ToSet parking brake while parked on a level surface and block the rear tires for good measure. Put spent oil tray underneath the drain plug and use a 14mm crescent wrench to loosen the drain plug. Direct the waste oil to the waste oil tray and the oil will be drained in about 10 minutes. After the oil has drained out, wipe off any oil on the casing with a clean cloth, replace the drain plug and tighten 28ft lbs to 33 - what is called for, but just get it good and snug if you do not have a torque wrench.
