Per a Nova article called 'In Defense of Evolution' posted 10.01.07, interviewing Dr. Kenneth Miller is quoted here saying:
"Phillip Johnson, the father of the intelligent-design movement, likens this process to flipping a coin: if it lands and it's not heads, it must be tails. He says that evolution can't account for the diversity of life, therefore it's got to be something else. The only other thing it could be is an intelligent designer."
