U.s. population in 1803

The first census was held in 1790 and calculated 3,929,214 Americans. No year to year estimates were given until after the 1900 census, so the number is not known. However, the 1800 census calculated 5,308,483 Americans. So an educated guess for the population in 1793 would be about 4.3 million.
