My husband has one on his third toe and had it removed last year. Unfortunately it is wrapped up in the soft tissues of his toe (they couldn't remove all of it) so it has already begun to grow back. In my personal (unprofessional) opinion I say just make sure you don't have a cancer tumor that it is feeding into. If it bugs you then have it removed if it doesn't and it isn't getting bigger then don't. The surgery my husband had was not a big deal. He said that they drugged him and he fell asleep talking to the doctor. When he woke up they had removed the 'tumor'. He was drowsy and had to wear a boot for about a week but no big problems at all. Except that its coming back of course. Good luck with your toe!
