Why vidhan sabha is more powerful than vidhan parishad?

The Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) is more powerful than the Vidhan Parishad (Legislative Council) primarily because it is the lower house of the state legislature and has the authority to initiate and pass legislation, including money bills. Additionally, the Vidhan Sabha has greater representation, with members directly elected by the public, which grants it a stronger democratic mandate. In contrast, the Vidhan Parishad's role is mainly advisory and it cannot override decisions made by the Vidhan Sabha, making the latter the dominant legislative body.
