The above answer was lacking in some details. Yes, you can safely take the two together. The important thing is not to take too high a dose of the klonopin. I take 12mg of suboxone and anywhere from 1 - 2mg of klonopin. I would not take a much higher dose of the klonopin as there is a chance for respiratory depression. My doctor is a 25 year veteran and has been involved with suboxone treatment for the last 5 years, so I trust his opinion.
