How do you beat lieutenant goresby purrvis on dragon quest 9?

well, it's rather difficult. take it from me. but what is wise is; ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR HEALER! he has strong attack points and agility so it's possible he'll kill you before you even attack. although mages are weak. their spells do the most damage. also sap the evil feline so he'll have horrible attack. then use buffs on your party. now he's practically harmless. but say you don't have buff/sap spells. then, it's a match of pure power and survivability. i recommend not fighting him until your at least level 38. coup de grace's are your best friend and eventually a way of life. if you have a warrior use the coup de grace IMMEDIATELY. warriors have one of the best coup's in the game. i also recomend one healer,(preist) a back up healer (minstrel, palidin) and two damage dealers (warrior, gladiator, martial artist) only two of his attacks are really lethal. one attack he can "hack away like a demon." which is always a critical hit (Crap!) and it always usually hits. and "the upward cut" is a pain. you can't move that round. but other than that. his attacks range from 20-60 (not including hacking away like a demon.) which you can heal through if you have multiheal (yay multiheal) so follow my advice i hope your successful!
