September 11th is commonly referred to as "nine-eleven" or the "World Trade Center attacks." Al Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden, was responsible for planning the attacks and wanted to kill as many Americans as possible at once. The attacks displayed trademarks of Al Qaeda attacks--suicide murderers in high populated areas with coordinated simultaneous attacks.
