Is it a bad idea to take your cast off early. I broke my wrist about 5 weeks ago and the doctor said to leave the cast on for 6 weeks. Is it a bad idea to take it off a week early?

It really depends on the type of injury and the seriousness of the injury. I would recommend you keep the cast on until the doctor has made a final prognosis, giving you the permission to take it off.
