What does stability control fail mean on jaguar?

It can mean a wide variety of things. In my case on a 2000 XK8 it meant that over time, vibration loosened the solder joint on one of the main two leads into the ABS pump on the ABS module. When I replaced the defective solder, the stability control worked again.
