What are the rules for Pokemon being asleep in battles?

In Pokemon battles, a Pokemon that is asleep cannot move or attack until it wakes up. The Pokemon has a chance to wake up each turn, but it is unable to do anything until it does. Sleep status can be cured by certain items or moves.
