Women during their time were not as free spirited. They were used to their traditional ways of staying conservative and calm spirited. Flappers chose an opposite lifestyle. They drunk, they danced, they also spoke openly about sex which was not what women did at their time.

Flappers made it seem ookay for women to do the things that men were doing when at the time, the Double Standard law was in effect. Flappers made it seem okay for women to be as active, sexually, as men were.
