God gave Adam and Eve the gifts of free will, the beauty of creation, and intimate companionship. Free will allowed them to make choices, including the choice to obey or disobey God. The beauty of creation gave them a perfect environment to live in and care for. Lastly, their companionship with each other provided love, support, and partnership in their lives.
