What is the difference between being artistic and creative?

Artistic is usually used to connote some physical skill or talent (painting, sculpting, playing a musical instrument). Creative is the mental capacity to think of something new or different. I could be creative and imagine a beautiful sculpture...but not have the artitic talent to actually make it. Conversely, I might be able to carve anything you show me, but not be able to come up with some unique design.
