When turn the key it makes one ckick and won't start eventially it will catch and start why?

battery cable connectins A single click and no start usually indicates a loose battery connection or a faulty starter solenoid/relay switch. Since you mention it will eventually catch, I would discount the loose battery connection and go directly to the solenoid/relay switch.
