Two sulphates that are insoluble in water are barium sulphate (BaSO₄) and lead(II) sulphate (PbSO₄). These compounds have low solubility due to the strong ionic bonds formed in their crystal lattices, which are not easily broken by water molecules. As a result, they precipitate out of solution rather than dissolving.
