How much can a cougar eat a day?

Most lion prides hunt daily. An adult lion needs about 11 to 15 lb (5 to 7 kg) of food per day, but feeding is often irregular and a male may eat 110 lb (50 kg) at one time. Males eat more than females. Lions will hunt almost anything and everything that moves around them, including zebras, Gazelles, and even buffalo.
