A pronoun is a Word that takes the place of a noun in a sentence. A pronoun is used for all of the functions of a noun:
- subject of a sentence or a clause
- object of a verb or a preposition
EXAMPLES
- subject of sentence: She made cookies for Jack and Jill.
- subject of clause: The cookies that shemade are for Jack and Jill.
- object of verb: Jane made them for Jack and Jill.
- object of preposition: Jane made cookies for them.
