What is Section 28 of the Local Government Act of 1988?

It was a 1988 British law that prohibited local authorities from intentionally promoting homosexuality and schools from promoting the acceptability of homosexuality as a "pretended family relationship." It was repealed in Scotland in 2000, and in England and Wales in 2003.
