How poor is Cameroon?

Cameroon faces significant economic challenges, with a substantial portion of its population living below the poverty line. As of recent estimates, about one-third of Cameroonians live on less than $1.90 a day, indicating extreme poverty. Factors such as political instability, corruption, and inadequate infrastructure contribute to these economic difficulties. Despite its rich Natural Resources, including oil and agricultural products, wealth distribution remains highly unequal.
