Is it a legal requirement to height mark a semi trailer?

The Surface Transportation Assistance Act required all trailers that were legalized by that act (53 feet long, 108 inches wide, 13'6" high) be marked with the dimension that fell under STAA. Which of course means every trailer running today has three markings--a width, a length and a height mark.
