Do you have to remove the light housing assembly from the body to get access to the tail lights on a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000 GT?

Yes, there are about 6 bolts on each side you have to remove, you do not have to remove the molding, just use the access panels, however you have to pull the center part out, (3000GT part) a bit to remove the tail light.
