How can you sell your timeshare?

There are many ways to sell timeshares, or at least many different people to sell to. As the sale of a timeshare is actually very similar to a real estate transaction there are other complexities, legal fees and documentation, which all should be checked over to ensure that the whole process is safe and legal.

Sellers for timeshares can be found on ebay, Craigslist and many different timeshare resellers websites. Don't be caught out by bogus sellers however, cold calls promising immediate and "too good to miss" offers are usually more in the region of "too good to be true".

Reputable sellers will be affiliated with, or at least part of recognised trading bodies which have been set up to regulate the industry - with the protection of the customer in mind. The RDO and TATOC are two of the most signifcant bodies in the UK, it is often best to check with them first to ensure your seller is trusted.
