What was one major way President Franklin D Roosevelt's New Deal tried to combat the effects of the Great Depression?

Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal introduced social and economic reforms to fix some of the effects of the Great Depression. The Civil Conservation Corps, gave young men the chance to work in boot camps and send much needed money home to their families. The Civil Works Administration gave jobs to many people, and the Agricultural Adjustment Act provided relief for farmers.
