Clean out any rubbish that has sunk to the bottom of the pool scrub down the walls and floor with a stiff pool brush, empty leaf basket and hair filter, top up the pool and make sure you have the water level required to supply the filtration system, clean or backwash the filter. Take a sample of water from about two feet under the surface of the water to your pool shop where they will test it. they will then inform you of exactly what you need to get the water right for the coming season. You can get all of the testing equipment and do it your self if you wish also from a pool shop. mention that you have a salt water pool.
