How do you play the board game of golden balls?

I think the idea is to basically get the egg. The golden egg is placed at the centre of the table. Each player is given two counters. All the other cards are shuffled and dealt out equally (if the golden goose is a left over card you have to do this again). The player to the left of the dealer starts the game. He has to turn over one of his cards. He should follow the instructions of the card (usually paying to the pool). If he picks up the egg card he picks up the golden egg and pays one counter into the pool. The hand that holds the egg when the golden goose is found wins the game (or if no one has the egg the holder of the golden goose wins the game).

I'm not sure of what family of games it belongs to, it has similarities with rummy I suppose.
