the advantage of a 4.10 rear end is massive acceleration and derability the only downside to this is when you up the gear ratio you lose top end speed, for example if your car has stock gears and tops out at say 135 mph a 4.10 swap will reduce that to about 120 mph , but while this may seem like a lot keep in mind your doubleing the acceleration , so lets say your o-60 time is 8 seconds 4.10s will reduce that to about 5 seconds, in short 4.10s are good for drag and autocross but if plan on doing any long distance racing id go with 3.73s, you'll still have a nice acceleration boost but at the same time keep a decent top end.
