How did world war 2 affect current society?

The society of the US and the world is affected by World War 2 in these ways:

• We are now a global community.
• We love our peace and freedom and guard them with our lives.
• We are united as a world to preserve freedom, humanitarian welfare and aid, to have safe/free trade with each other and global communication.
• The world benefited by the technological and scientific advances. Computers, mobile phones, televisions and hundreds of other things came about because of the things they developed in World War 2.
• Aeronautics, space travel, satellites, missiles, jet planes owe their roots to the scientists and Engineers of World War 2
• Medical Advances jumped by leaps and bounds due to what they learned in World War 2 and other subsequent wars.
• We have more democratic nations, less colonies and many colonies earned their independence because of that war.
