Why does the Milky Way look hazy?

The Milky Way appears hazy due to the vast number of stars, gas, and dust within our galaxy. The light from countless stars is scattered and absorbed by interstellar dust, creating a soft, diffuse glow. Additionally, regions of star formation and dense clouds of gas contribute to its hazy appearance, making some parts look brighter and more luminous than others. This effect is especially pronounced when viewed from Earth, where atmospheric conditions can further enhance the haziness.
