What do most people think about UFOs?

Aircraft, lenticular clouds, plasma, balloons, mirages, birds, even swamp gas. The less logical people think they are alien spacecraft, but since the simplest explanation that fits the facts is the best, and the facts do not include any shred of evidence for alien spacecraft, that is not a logical choice of explanation.
