Unitarianism is not a Christian faith because it does not espouse belief in the doctrine of the trinity of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. Instead, Unitarians believe in a single personality of God, grouping the three members above into one deity. The trinity is an essential doctrine for being considered a Christian faith, as outlined in the Nicene Creed of A.D. 325. All Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Christians believe in the Trinity.
